Why Choose CryoPen® Skin Lesion Removal?
How The Treatment Works
CryoPen® uses a precise jet of nitrous oxide to freeze and destroy unwanted skin lesions. The extreme cold causes controlled damage to the targeted cells, triggering a natural healing response that removes the lesion without the need for cutting or stitching.
The Process
The treatment typically takes a few minutes. Some larger skin lesions may need 2-3 sessions but most of the time only one treatment is needed.

Results & Aftercare
-
Treated lesions typically darken, crust over, and naturally fall away within 7–14 days.
-
Healing time can vary depending on the lesion type, size, and location.
-
In some cases, a second treatment may be required for complete removal.
-
The skin underneath may appear pink initially but will gradually return to a normal tone

Frequently Asked Questions – CryoPen® Skin Lesion Removal
❓ What is CryoPen?
CryoPen® is a precision device that delivers a controlled jet of nitrous oxide to freeze and destroy benign skin lesions such as warts, skin tags, moles, cherry angiomas, and seborrhoeic keratoses.
❓ Is the treatment painful?
Most clients experience a mild stinging or cold sensation during treatment, which lasts only a few seconds. Anaesthetic is not usually required.
❓ How long does the treatment take?
Treatment time is usually 5–30 seconds per lesion, depending on its size and depth. The full appointment typically takes around 15–30 minutes including assessment.
❓ How many sessions will I need?
Many lesions are successfully removed in one session. However, some may require a follow-up treatment after 4–6 weeks if any tissue remains.
❓ Will I have downtime?
There is minimal downtime. The treated area may redden, form a scab or crust, and flake off over 1–2 weeks. Most people return to normal activities immediately after treatment.
❓ Can CryoPen treat all types of moles?
CryoPen can only treat clinically benign moles. If there is any uncertainty, we may need you to complete our mole check medical assessment before proceeding with treatment. (Starts from £99 for one mole, £150 for 2-5 moles).
❓ Are there any risks?
CryoPen is very safe when used correctly. Temporary redness, swelling, blistering, or pigmentation changes can occur, especially in darker skin types. Full aftercare advice will be provided to minimise risks.
❓ Is it suitable for all skin types?
CryoPen can be used on most skin types, but clients with darker skin tones may be at a slightly higher risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation changes. We will advise during your consultation.
